Daria
Teacher of English at Ditto Kids
Hi, my name is Daria Dębska, and I’m a teacher at Ditto Kids. I completed a language course at the C1+ level at the University of St. Andrews. I’ve been teaching children for several years now, primarily through in-person classes, which have inspired the way I conduct my online lessons. My goal is to make learning a language natural, joyful, and free from rote memorization. Together, we’ll play and explore our desks and rooms, looking for new opportunities to communicate in English. We’ll learn to communicate with our whole body through the TPR (Total Physical Response) method, making English a habit.
I approach each student individually, paying close attention to their interests and abilities, and using this knowledge to plan engaging lessons. During our sessions, we’ll use an online textbook, so there will be opportunities for reading and writing, but we’ll focus primarily on online quizzes and games, educational videos, and, most importantly, meaningful conversations.
I put a strong emphasis on voluntary participation and comfort in my lessons. For me, creating a safe and friendly atmosphere is the priority. This helps students feel at ease, share their experiences, talk about their weekends, and recount funny events. Even if they’re not yet fluent in English, thanks to the incorporation method I nurture, we always understand each other perfectly!
