I am a very empathetic person, and it is extremely important to me that children feel comfortable in my presence. This creates a safe space for them to open up to English, speak the language, and make mistakes. I approach each student individually — if something doesn’t work, we change it. I tailor lessons to what brings them the most joy and is most effective. I use a variety of materials and websites with interactive games to make lessons engaging and meet my students' needs. Lesson time is for them, and I want them to feel heard and seen during our sessions.
